Recreation
In creating our recreational programs Tay Valley Township’s aim is to provide an environment for our youth to have fun while also learning valuable life lessons and skills.  Our goal is to instill the values we feel our residents hold dear such as honesty, integrity, team play and sportsmanship.

The success of our recreational programs is based solely on our volunteers and support from our community!

In addition, we are always looking for volunteers to help out at the Re-Use Centre.

Vulnerable Sector Check or Criminal Records Check
For the safety of all, the Township's policy requires that individuals involved in our recreational programs in either a coaching or volunteer capacity MUST have a valid Vulnerable Sector Check and those volunteering for the Re-Use Centre must have a Criminal Reference Check. The required paperwork is available at the detachment office of the Ontario Provincial Police in Perth. These checks are FREE when submitted with a letter from the Tay Valley Township, which can be picked up from the Municipal Office. Please note that processing Vulnerable Sector Checks can take up to three weeks so please keep this in mind when referring to submission deadlines.

*Note: The minimum age requirement to be a volunteer is 16 years old.

Personal information collected from applications is collected under the authority of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and will be used for processing Coach and/or Volunteer Registration Forms. Waiver

In consideration of Tay Valley Township permitting me and/or the person listed above to participate in the activity(ies) listed above, I, for myself and for all minors named herein, assume full responsibility for understanding and ensuring that safe practices are followed in the activity(ies) noted above and hereby release, discharge, indemnify, and save harmless Tay Valley Township and its agents and employees from any and all claims by whomsoever made, damages, liabilities or loss arising from injury to or death of myself and/or those listed above by reason of my, his, her, our and/or their participation in the listed activity(ies)
